On June 24, Raising Harts Founder and Executive Director, Candice Hartford, was named a 2026 Commonwealth Heroine by the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women.

This prestigious recognition honors women who make extraordinary contributions to their communities through leadership, service, and advocacy. Candice's unwavering commitment to creating connection, resources, and hope for families raising autistic children has transformed what began as one mother's search for community into a nonprofit making a meaningful impact across the South Shore and beyond.
