About Our Training

The Raising Harts Certificate in Autism Support is a workforce development program designed to provide practical, compassionate, and neuroaffirming education for individuals who want to better support autistic children, teens, and their families.

Whether you are a parent, caregiver, educator, college student, aspiring professional, or someone exploring a career in autism-related services, this certificate equips participants with foundational knowledge, real-world strategies, and a deeper understanding of the autism community. Grounded in both professional expertise and lived experience, the program emphasizes respectful, strengths-based approaches that foster meaningful relationships and inclusive support.

At Raising Harts, we believe that strengthening the autism community begins by investing in the people who serve it. Through this certificate program, we hope to inspire the next generation of compassionate professionals while empowering families and community members with the confidence and skills to make a lasting difference.

Participants who successfully complete the program will receive a Certificate in Autism Support from Raising Harts, recognizing their commitment to expanding their knowledge and supporting autistic individuals and their families with empathy, understanding, and respect. While this program is not to certify or qualify participants to provide clinical, therapeutic, or behavioral intervention, we are hopeful this training could be a springboard for many to pursue these vital roles in the future.

About Our Facilitator

Brie Casey brings a powerful combination of professional expertise, lived experience, and passionate advocacy to the Raising Harts Certificate in Autism Support. With more than 17 years of experience in general and special education, Brie has dedicated her career to helping autistic individuals and their families navigate educational systems, access meaningful supports, and build inclusive communities.

As both an educator and the parent of neurodiverse children, Brie understands firsthand the challenges families face and the importance of compassionate, informed support. In addition to her work in education, she has spent years as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), partnering with families of children with complex support needs. This experience has given her a deep appreciation for the critical role that knowledgeable, compassionate, and committed professionals play in the lives of autistic individuals and their families.

Brie was also one of the driving forces behind Raising Harts' early growth and success, serving as the organization's Director of Community Engagement. During her time with Raising Harts, she helped shape programs, strengthen community partnerships, and expand opportunities for families across the South Shore. She stepped away from that role in 2025 to focus on growing her educational advocacy practice, Anchor Family Advocacy, where she continues to empower families as they navigate special education and build collaborative relationships with their school teams.

Her expertise includes autism, IEP development, behavioral interventions, family advocacy, and collaborative partnerships with schools. She has completed specialized advocacy training through the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA) and the Parent Consultant Training Institute (PCTI) through the Federation for Children with Special Needs.

Brie is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Transformative School Leadership at Northeastern University. Her dissertation, Building Bridges: Empowering Parents of Autistic Children to Advocate for Inclusion in Public Schools, explores how schools and families can work together to create more inclusive educational experiences for autistic students.

Brie believes that strengthening the autism workforce begins with education. She is passionate about preparing professionals who are not only well-informed and skilled, but who also understand the profound impact they can have on the lives of autistic individuals and their families. Participants in the Raising Harts Certificate in Autism Support can expect a learning experience that is practical, evidence-informed, and deeply rooted in empathy, respect, and real-world application.
